What is good taste?
I believe good taste equates to confidence. If you know what you like and evoke that physically and emotionally, that’s good taste.
What are your style rules?
I wouldn’t say they are concrete rules, but I try to always embody my 3 words, which is a concept created by stylist Allison Bornstein known as the Three Word Method. So I would say my style is effortless, thoughtful, and intentional and try to maintain that in all I wear and shop!
Your beauty regime: 3 dos and 3 don’ts
Dos:
1. Wash your face every night
2. Keep your skin hydrated
3. Find a good dermatologist
Don’ts:
1. Don’t take skincare advice from TikTok unless you know the person’s credentials
2. Don’t skimp on body hydration
3. Don’t gatekeep your favorite products. Share the wealth!
What are your tips for living in style?
Know what you like, even if you don’t know how to put it together.
What would you discover at your ultimate imaginary Yard Sale?
I would hope to find some large-scale paintings. Art is expensive, so I would love to discover some incredible big pieces I would want to hang in my home.
Best thing that you’ve ever found at a yard sale or flea market
Honestly, a wine crate that I bought over a decade ago as a coffee table, which became my dog’s toy chest. Now 10 years later, it’s still his toy chest (it lasted only a few months as a coffee table) and he still goes in it everyday and brings out all his toys like a child.
The one that got away - the thing you regret not buying
I bought a vintage velvet checkered burnt yellow chair for my living room about 2 years ago and I had the option to get two. I only purchased one because of the space in my home, but I wish I had bought both.
What does community mean to you?
It’s like-minded people you actually want to spend your time with and those with you share commonalities. I want to be around a community of people with similar beliefs as me, yet thrive off learning new things.
What cause is closest to your heart?
Mental health is very important to me and as someone who is in recovery from an eating disorder, I’m constantly figuring out ways to support those suffering, while also sharing my own story.
