The East Coast summer edit

Kait Kivetz, Yard Sale curator and founder of The Link jewelry consultancy, blends the best of both coasts in her unique personal style. Though based in Los Angeles, Kait's heart and creative spirit are deeply rooted in the East Coast, where she grew up and continues to spend as much time as possible.

"Everyone has their place, and for me, it's Cape Cod," says Kait. "Nothing compares to East Coast summers—the saltiness, the ease. It's all very genuine there."

Cape Cod represents more than just a place for Kait; it embodies nostalgia and romance. It was on a Cape Cod beach, 25 years ago, that she met her husband, their paths crossing "just walking down the beach at sunset." Their wedding took place at a nearby boat club, surrounded by original photos of the Kennedy family.

"My parents’ beach house is on a dirt road by the beach, where we always walk barefoot. Each summer, we drive to the local shop to get our rope bracelets and silver anklets. They last the whole season, getting better with each swim in the ocean."

The timeless charm of Cape Cod continues to influence Kait's life and work. The same people who inspired her in childhood remain her muses today. With the Kennedy compound nearby, elements of that classic style have always been part of her world. Kait's career began at Ralph Lauren, which provided her with “the best education in fashion”. The lifestyle still resonates today.

"Every time I see a colorful sunfish sail, I know I'm home," she says.

For Kait, Cape Cod is a constant source of inspiration, weaving its way through her personal and professional life, reminding her of where she came from and the timeless elegance that she embodies.
